This is a mental and physical challenge that will have profound effects on your health, fitness and wellbeing. The challenge is simple, not easy by design, but possible for anyone and everyone to complete. Just by starting this challenge you will have got the ball rolling and improved your self worth and by completing this challenge you can expect to.....

o   Become an upgraded version of you

o   Gain improved grit, determination fortitude, consistency and resilience 

o   Gain improved habits, systems and routines  

o   Improve your self understanding and selfcare routine 

o   Get into the habit of journaling to improve self esteem, self worth, self belief & self awareness.

o   Higher personal standards and be happy and satisfied that you completed a real challenge

o   Prove to yourself that when the s$%t hits the fan and things get tough, you can rise to the occasion and do what's necessary.

o   Only by completing the challenge for 30 or 99 days will you be eligible to purchase a Primal Warrior AGOGE T-Shirt form the Primal store.

PRIMAL WARRIOR AGOGE RULES

Prepare to be completely honest with yourself and truly aligned with your integrity. These 5 Agoge rules are for you to stay on the path and really challenge yourself to become the best version of yourself!

Rule 1  Complete the Primal Warrior foundation’s daily.

"Every warrior should have standards in their daily routines that they complete every day."

Using the Primal Warrior foundations, Identify what you need to do everyday, add them to your pledge and complete them daily. This means checking through the Primal Warrior Foundations everyday, completing the check list and identifying and rectifying anything that looks off before the next day.

Checking in with your pledge, routines and systems and facing up to the reasons why you aren’t where you want to be and making the changes necessary to truly become the best version of yourself. 

Stick your Primal Warrior foundations in your journal, on your fridge, desk or wall and tick off as you complete each task daily to become the best version of yourself.

Primal Warrior foundations can be downloaded from the AGOGE online plan and Primal Warrior Journals are only available to purchase from the Primal store. 

Rule 2  Follow a structured diet with your specific goals in mind.

Although this is already part of the Primal Warrior Foundations. We believe it needs a special focus of its own. Everyone is different and has different needs. Your chosen way of eating is up to you, however, it must be aligned honestly with your pledge and goals. Otherwise it just won't work and is just a wish, not a plan. 

Hard rules you must follow;  No deviations, No cheat days, No alcohol, No excuses!

Create your own simple dietary guide for daily use throughout the whole of your AGOGE challenge that can be followed to the letter and add them to your pledge.

For best outcomes focus on consuming:

a) Real foods, (if it don't roam and it ain't grown, don't eat it). 

b) Calories needed (to hit YOUR goal).

c) A minimum of 2ltrs hydration.

Write your dietary rules in your journal/ pledge page, make sure they are strict rules that align with your values and standards. This is why we must check in daily with our foundations, our pledge and trust in our own integrity.

Example of dietary rules for weight loss:

A calorie deficit of 10-20% (measure if necessary). 

Clean, real foods (zero junk foods or added sugars). 

Zero alcohol. 

Quit making excuses as to why you need or even like to self sabotage. Trust me follow this rule alone for over 30 days and you will make massive improvements. 

Rule 3  The power hour. Complete at least 60mins of training everyday. 

"We were made to move. Strong in body and mind"

Gain control and create physical and mental fortitude by staying consistent and completing 60 minutes every day.

Listen to your body, but don’t be easy on yourself. Use your intuition and make sure whatever exercise/movement practice you take on it is tailored to your personal goals at your current or just above your level of ability.

60 mins every day of structured goal tailored movement practice, with a minimum of X3 per week that must be outside.

Your 60 minutes can be broken down for busy days in to x2x30 minutes, 15&45 minutes sessions or however it needs to be.

Chose and mix through any type of fitness routine from walking to weightlifting to yoga to a Primal fitness class to a 4hour fitness event. It doesn't matter as long as it aligns with your goals.

Each day requires a fresh 60mins, so listen to and spend time paying attention to your body and the movements it needs. No crossovers to other days, it’s 60 minutes every day, NO EXCUSES!!

Rule 4  Check in with the Primal Warrior AGOGE community daily.

The Primal Warrior Group is our private community chat group, it is where you will find your support and accountability.  

Everyday, check in with your community with updates of your progress to be written as follows.

1. Day …. complete

2. All 5 Rules adhered to

3. Any other information you'd like to share.

Post this check in to the group, before the end of the following day.​

This must happen every day for the duration of the AGOGE, any missed days result in starting again.

Top tip; Set a daily alarm on your phone as a reminder to check in with the community so you don't miss a day.

In addition you can upload a progress picture at the start of the challenge and at the end of the  challenge to help you receive your virtual badge and declare you are a badass Primal Warrior.

 

Rule 5  If any of these rules and standards are not met, start again.

This is possibly the most important rule of the challenge. This is to keep you accountable to your standards and make sure you reach your goals and stay on the path of becoming a true Primal Warrior.

This is a self judged challenge and the objective is to give you back control of your self discipline and mental strength, this cannot be achieved by cheating because you will know.

However strict and rigorous we wish to make this challenge, things go wrong. So the Wild Card is our gift to you, your one opportunity not to lose out on your winning streak.

The Wild card gives you x1 pass, x1 opportunity within the 99 days of the challenge to mess up. After all the main aim of this plan is to improve, not to quit anytime something goes wrong.

 

Post a Picture of this card in your daily check in instead of a progress picture with your day that you are missing/missed and get this x1 let off so you may continue on your path to success.

Nothing In life is free, so if you do play your wild card, you must add x3 days at the end to your total days; 99 becomes 102.

Life is about progress and learning, and everybody makes mistakes at some point in time. We should learn from our mistakes.

1. Can I just do Rule 3 (60 minutes of exercise daily) and ignore the other rules? This challenge is about learning and committing to self discipline and has been thoroughly thought through to give you the best possible outcomes. Think about this as a military boot camp where you have to commit to everything you are asked to do till basic training is done, that means doing what you like along with what you don't. 

2.Do I really have to start again if I miss a day? In short Yes! You have the Wild card and obviously you could just cheat and say you did it, the problem with this is that the most important person will know,... YOU! and your integrity should be worth more than that to you, and it will leave you feeling less like a winner and ultimately leave you with self doubt. On the other hand something that you know you have 100% achieved will lead to you committing more to yourself and prompt you to become even more successful. 

3. Can I start next month? This challenge is always open and can be joined whenever you are ready, however, ask yourself, why am I really putting it off? Start now even if you miss a day and have to start again that has ultimately moved the needle forward and will make you feel more empowered. 

4. I don't know where to start, or what exercise, diet or if I can really commit to the 99days. What should I do? Joining now and jumping on the private AGOGE community chat group will help you find plenty of ideas from others on the challenge or if you are still struggling you can reach out and get some 1-1 or group coaching, online or in person. 

5. I'm not fit enough,  I don't have time or I'm too old to do this. Could I do a cut down version? My main aim when designing this challenge was to remove all the excuses I had heard from people over the years and how we can get around them. That is what this challenge is, It is difficult by design, but there are so many ways in which you can attack this with whatever reason or excuse you may have. Read through the page again and go through your excuses with an open mind. You'll find all the answers you need. 

6. I'm already following another (fitness or diet) program, can do this as well? This challenge is designed to be the equivalent of a basic training kick up the arse you need that can be slotted in wherever and whenever its needed, as long as you follow the 5 AGOGE Rules there is no reason you can't do this program along with any other program.
