Barny O'Neill

 

"Don’t just move, move with purpose"

I have been working in the health and fitness industry for over 10 years. I am a 

Personal Trainer with additional qualifications in:

  • Sport & weight management nutrition

  • Strength & Conditioning 

  • Running technique & gait analysis

  • Spartan SGX obstacle race coaching

I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in movement proficiency working with people like Ido Portal & Animal Flow and in the application of breathing techniques from Wim Hoff.

 

I am passionate about getting people moving and helping my clients  understand their reason why. I work with people with a wide variety of goals from all different backgrounds. My approach to training incorporates both physical and mental aspects of health, fitness and wellbeing. 

As an elite athlete I have studied, tried and tested a host of different training methods to improve my own performance. This includes daily stretching, mobility and breathing exercises alongside my higher intensity & strength training sessions. 

 

Sporting background & achievements:

  • 8 Years in the British Army

  • 5 years boxing training 

  • OCR UK Championships, 2015

  • Spartan World Championships, 2015

  • 2nd place in Elite Spartan Sprint & Beast races, 2017

  • 70.3 distance triathlon, 2017

  • Ironman Wales 2019

  • Road & trail running events from 5 km - 42 miles
